Peer Review Process

Papers published in the ROMANIAN JOURNAL OF PSYCHOANALYSIS are subject to editorial screening and anonymous double-blind peer-review process. They may be reviewed by the Editors, Editorial Board and assigned peer reviewers unless otherwise permitted by the authors.

Publication Frequency

The journal is published twice a year: in June and December.

Submission and confidentiality

The submission process is handled electronically. The manuscripts will be submitted as attachment to the email revista@srdp.ro in Word format. After manuscript receipt, the corresponding author will receive an e-mail confirming the receipt. All submitted manuscripts are treated as confidential documents. They will not be shown to or discussed with others except as authorized by the editor. By accepting to review a manuscript, referees agree to treat the material as confidential.

Authorization to photocopy items for internal and personal use is granted by the copyright holder of Romanian Journal of Psychoanalysis. This consent does not extend to other kind of copying such as copying for general distribution, for advertising or promotional purposes, for creating new collective works for resale.

Duties of Authors

Originality and Plagiarism

The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works. If the authors have used the work and/or words of others, sources should be appropriately cited. Any attempt of plagiarism should be followed by the rejection of the submitted manuscript.

Acknowledgement of Sources

Accurate acknowledgement of the work of others must always be provided. Authors should cite publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the reported work.

Fundamental errors in published works

When an author discovers a significant error in his or her own published work, it is the author’s obligation to promptly notify the editor or publisher and cooperate in order to retract or correct the paper.

Editing Criteria

The manuscripts, written fully in English or French must comply with the following criteria:

  1. Title page, mentioning the title of the paper, full name of the author, affiliation and email address.

  2. Abstract and Keywords in English and French.

  3. Text in English or French (Font: Times New Roman, Font Size: 12, Line Spacing:1).

  4. References (they should be identified in the text by Arabic numbers and numbered in the cited order).

If the manuscript does not comply with the criteria, the Editorial Board will notify the corresponding author by email with the request to rewrite the manuscript according to the editorial criteria.

The corresponding author shall send the improved mansucript within 2 weeks.

Duties of Reviewers

Confidentiality

Any article received for review must be treated as a confidential document.

Objectivity

Reviews should be made objectively. Personal criticism of author is inappropriate and opinions of referees should be supported by arguments.
