Abstract: The unconscious, initially a psychic instance, later a quality of the psychic in Freud’s terms, is often associated with, in current thinking, the psycho-mental contents that consciousness has forgotten or repressed. This is the so-called Repressed Unconscious, from the triad model proposed by J. and A.M. Sandler: Conscious – Repressed Unconscious – Present Unconscious (Sandler&Sandler, 1983).
